WHO WE ARE. WHAT WE STAND FOR.

Dr. Wendee Gardner, DPT, MPH
CEO and Founder

Dr. Wendee Gardner - a public health professional and clinician - is a member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians. Wendee has spent over a decade working across Indian Country to help solve the pressing health issues facing our communities.

She began her career at the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board, where she coordinated a large-scale research project, working with tribal partners to develop a first-of-its-kind health intervention called Native VOICES. There Wendee also joined forces with We R Native “the largest health resource for Native youth, by Native youth,” where she developed health education materials and social media content, facilitated skills building workshops, and co-led trainings on grant writing and film production.
In 2019, Wendee founded Good Medicine Tribal Public Health Consulting Services, LLC to support tribes and their allies in promoting tribal health and healthcare. Good Medicine donates 7% of its resources to growing the next generation of Indigenous public health professionals and to tribal nations in need of support but lacking resources.
